Honey

Honey was a valued commodity in the Roman Empire traded from various regions and used not only as a sweetener but also for its medicinal and preservative properties.

Archaeological excavations in Georgia and neighboring regions have uncovered ancient beehives, honeycombs, and various tools associated with honey production.

These findings indicate that honey was produced locally in Georgia and traded within the Roman Empire and even to the Far East using the famous Silk Road.

Our raw 100% pure nectar honey comes straight from honeycombs without any pasteurisation or processing. Therefore, it serves as the perfect blend of all essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and other nutritional compounds along with lots of other vitamins and minerals:

The oldest honey on the planet was found in Georgia, 5.5 thousand years old!

Near the modern village of Sakire in Georgia's Borjomi region, archaeologists have discovered honey, which dates back to the third millennium BC.

In the burial mound, in a plundered tomb, ceramic vessels were found with the remains of honey, which, apparently, was left in the burial for future afterlife meals.
